Internal Review

You have indicated you would like to apply for an internal review.   Please review the information and criteria provided to determine if an internal review is appropriate.

Programs have the opportunity to apply for an internal review when the following criteria are met:

  • Program has a Self-Assessment Score of 4 or 5 Stars.
  • Program or provider receives a Self-Assessment Survey validation by a Validator that lowers the published quality rating.
  • Program or provider receives a PQA by an Assessor or an Approved Rater that lowers the published quality rating.
  • Program or provider initiates the internal review within 30 days of the date that Self-Assessment Survey validation results are shared by a Quality Improvement Consultant.
  • Program or provider initiates the internal review within 30 days of the date that PQA results are shared by a Quality Improvement Consultant.
  • Program or provider initiates the internal review within 30 days of the date that the PQA results are published, when an Approved Rater is used. This date appears in the PQA section of the SAS Dashboard.

If you do not meet the criteria, please consider utilizing the reassessment process on the Great Start to Quality STARS platform, if the reassessment criteria has been met.
